How is Eclipsa Video different from HDR10+?

While both Eclipsa Video and HDR10+ are open-source high dynamic range (HDR) formats designed to deliver spectacular video quality, they are designed to complement each other. The most significant difference lies in the specific problems they solve; HDR10+ focuses on optimizing the HDR video itself, while Eclipsa Video was created to solve the headache of mixing standard (SDR) content and HDR content on the same screen, especially during changes in ambient light.
